I ordeed once, and through MenuOne it was an unexpected pleasant experience.
They have daily specials at $10 the plate, I'll try one next time.
I actually ordered a spicy sushi at $16 after a 10% tip. I used to try to avoid fancy sushi rolls, as they have a tendency to put too much sauce on it. This was no different, hence my four-stars (instead of five) review.
But I actually had three meals that day from it, so it was cost-effective! -

The only good thing about this place is the service. That's why I gave 2 stars. The food was not fresh at all. The takoyaki was just a ball of mush. The sushi rice was stale and the fish had a weird aftertaste. We ate a few bites of everything, paid and left. Didn't even pack the leftovers. Probably won't be back.

My number 1 place to go. Their spice roll is amazing. Always great quality and service!

Honestly it's the best quality sushi you'll find in surrey! Been visiting sushi train religiously for the past 9 years. Prices are a bit higher but everything is absolutely amazing. Their "imitation crab meat" that they use inside Cali and dynamite rolls is 90% meat, and is barely mixed with mayo. Everything tastes super fresh! Our favourite picks are the roll combo and French kiss roll. And if you're taking take out platters IMO they have the best platters (combo c)

I have dined here a couple times and the food quality is very good! Prices are a bit higher than Vancouver standards, but that seems to be the norm in Surrey.
We really enjoyed the New York New York platter which included fried tempura shrimp pieces, California roll, and sashimi salad. It was huge and great value. The menu has a decent selection for customers to choose from. They do not have the largest menu, but there was enough specialty rolls to keep me interested.
The restaurant is small and not too busy both times I have dined there. That meant I got my food pretty quickly and it is great when I am hungry!
Service was fast. Tea was served pipping hot. There was only one server to answer phone calls and attend to customers. She was clearing places and refilling tea when she was not on the phone.
My only complaint is that we ordered a sashimi combo. The photo showed 6 pieces of sashimi, but we received only 5 pieces. When we asked our server about the discrepancy, she said that is how it is. She was not helpful there! The combo is slightly better value than ordering the food individually. However, I think customers would appreciate receiving food that is the same quantity as the photo even if substitution were made (ie different selection of sashimi).
